A non-invasive treatment that targets muscle tightness, alleviates pain, and enhances your body's healing process, helping you regain mobility and comfort.
SESSION DURATION AND COST
Dry Needling therapy is often included as part of a full physiotherapy appointment, where your physio will assess your condition and integrate dry needling as needed. These sessions are eligible for health insurance rebates, which can be processed on the spot using our HICAPS machine.
If you are seeking dry needling as a standalone treatment, we offer a 45-minute session for $99.
When booking online, please ensure you select the dry needling therapy service to secure the appropriate appointment type.
Our qualified physiotherapists use dry needling to target muscle trigger points with fine needles. This technique stimulates the muscles to release tension, reduce pain, and improve blood circulation. It enhances the body's natural healing process, making it a highly effective solution for muscle-related conditions and injuries.
The therapy typically lasts around 3-10 minutes per area treated. You may notice some immediate relief, while others may require 2-3 sessions to experience significant improvements.
Muscle Tightness and Spasms
Dry needling is highly effective in relaxing tight muscles, helping alleviate spasms, and restoring normal muscle function.
Tension Headaches
Dry needling can address the muscular causes of tension headaches, offering relief by targeting the upper back, neck, and shoulder muscles.
Sports Injuries
Dry needling helps to reduce muscle tightness, pain, and inflammation in the affected muscles, aiding recovery from injuries like strains and sprains.
Lower Back Pain
Effective in targeting tight muscles in the lower back, dry needling helps to ease discomfort and promote healing.
Neck and Shoulder Pain
Ideal for treating persistent neck and shoulder discomfort, dry needling helps release tightness and improve mobility.
Tennis Elbow & Golfers Elbow
Dry needling is proven to reduce pain and improve mobility for conditions like tennis and golfers elbow by targeting the affected muscles and tendons.
Plantar Fasciitis
Dry needling can help relieve the pain associated with plantar fasciitis by targeting the muscles in the foot and lower leg.
Shin Splints
For athletes suffering from shin splints, dry needling provides relief by addressing the muscles of the lower leg and improving blood flow to the area.
Our experienced practitioners will discuss your specific condition and how it relates to muscle tightness, pinpointing areas that may benefit from dry needling therapy.
We’ll conduct a physical examination, identifying areas of muscle tension and dysfunction that can be treated with dry needling. This focused approach ensures effective targeting of problem areas.
We collaborate with you to identify the most appropriate diagnosis for dry needling treatment. This targeted approach ensures we focus on specific muscle groups to achieve optimal outcomes.
We will create a customised treatment plan, using dry needling to address your unique needs and stimulate healing in the affected muscle tissue.
In addition to dry needling, we may integrate other manual therapy techniques, such as soft tissue massage and joint mobilizations, to enhance your recovery and overall outcomes.
We’ll provide you with self-management strategies to support your recovery, including advice on post-treatment care and exercises that promote ongoing healing and symptom relief. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge to maintain long-term health and function.
